Quiet weather is expected across the region today with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 60s to the lower 70s. A cold front will move toward the region Friday afternoon and evening and may bring a few rounds of showers and storms to the region. Some of the storms could be strong to severe with damaging winds being the main threat, though a few tornadoes will be possible. The highest risk of severe weather is generally west of I-65. There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms across a large part of the area Friday afternoon and early Friday evening. While damaging winds should be the primary hazard, some hail and a few tornadoes will also be possible. As always, have multiple ways to receive warning information.
